The University of Southern California was in Bangalore, India in February, 2011 for an in-depth discussion of globalization and innovation from the India perspective.
The USC forum hosted panels of leaders in both industry and academia, with an introduction by President C.L. Max Nikias.
USC Forum on Globalization and Innovation Within the six short years following Thomas Friedman's publication of The World is Flat, the exponential technologies fueling globalization and innovation transformed the world in unimaginable ways. The resulting empowerment of people across the world to create and innovate has revolutionized communication, commerce, research and education, and spawned new industries. India has been a crucial center in this transformation.
This USC-organized forum provided a stimulating discussion of the state of globalization and of innovation, as viewed from the India perspective, and to attempt a look at the future. Implications for technologists, innovators and entrepreneurs, educators and policy makers was presented. The two panels on globalization and on innovation was composed of leading authorities and will be opened by USC President C.L. Max Nikias.
